Luke Brown Yacht Sales is happy to report strong Selene activity in the final quarter of 2015 with two Selene deals closed and an additional accepted contract that closed by the second week of 2016.

The first boat to sell almost immediately after being released from its 2015 boat show circuit commitment was our beautiful new Selene 42 Europa. Just before the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show one of the many people that had taken an interest in our inventory boat pulled the trigger before anyone else got a chance.  It was under contract through the show and closed shortly thereafter.  The new owner with very little left for the boat to be cruise ready contracted Seakeeper to engineer a mount and then install their innovative stabilization system that is growing in popularity on smaller vessels.  (This story will follow under separate cover.)

LEELA 59′ SeleneThe second boat to enter contract and then sell in December was the beautiful and extremely well equipped Selene 59 “LEELA”. Always one of my personal favorites, “LEELA” is an example of a Selene that from contract to build and launch originally as “Marco Polo” in 2008 to date of sale by the second owners in 2015, was built with attention to detail that only the most experienced long distance cruisers could demand. Always maintained with an open check book survey was a breeze and the new owners have immersed themselves totally in their new pride and joy.

EXCALIBUR 57′ SeleneLast but not least, entering into contract in December was the beautifully maintained Selene 57 “Excalibur”. Her owner gave us only six months to sell her for the best price possible.  We accepted the challenge and I am embarrassed to say we failed.  It took us seven months to close, but the owners graciously granted us the extension.  What this says about our Selene team and Luke Brown Yachts is that you can be assured that the most knowledgeable and professional brokers are working 24hrs a day to get the deal you want, done.  Give us a call to find out how hard we will work for you.
