Palm Beach, FL
Fresh off the success of the inaugural Superyacht Village at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat show this past October, Informa Markets is crafting another elusive experience for the superyacht community with Superyacht Show Palm Beach 2020, set to debut at the historic Flagler Museum during the 35th Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIBS), March 26-29, 2020. The new superyacht event takes place March 26 – 28th.
After two years of special planning and permitting, show organizer Informa Markets received permission in December to install temporary docks in the deep waters of the Intracoastal Waterway behind the Flagler Museum. The superyacht destination, adjacent to PBIBS, will host 10 to 12 vessels ranging from 180 to 300 feet, allowing buyers and brokers to tour multiple boats in one location. Invited guests will be treated to valet parking, private tenders and limousine service from the airport. The invitation-only event will include a bespoke experience along with superyacht seminars.
The experience will also include a one-of-a-kind private event at the Flagler Museum, the former estate of Henry Flagler, one of the founding partners of Standard Oil. The 75-room Gilded Age mansion is a National Historic Landmark and a treasure of the Palm Beach community.
“The Town Council of Palm Beach very rarely grants permission to hold private events at the museum, so we are very excited to have this unique setting for a complete VIP experience,” said Andrew Doole President, U.S. Boat Shows at Informa Markets. Private access to a display of contemporary artwork within the museum will also be part of a relaxing, exclusive event “where guests will be able to explore some incredible boats at the same time.” Doole said.
