LATEST NORDIC TUGS DEALER NEWS BY JAMES WILKEY
Things are picking up around Luke Brown Yachts regarding our new partnership with Nordic Tugs. Since being appointed Authorized Dealer for Nordic Tugs in the Southeastern United States and a representative for Nordic in the Caribbean from our office here in Fort Lauderdale and Europe through our offices in Southampton, UK and Croatia, we’ve seen a dramatic increase in activity.

First Boat Almost Ready for Sea Trial

For starters, our first Nordic Tug, an NT 39, was ordered in June and will arrive in Fort Lauderdale in early September, just in time for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 31 to November 4, 2013, where we’ll have a display in “Trawler Port” at the Show.

New 2006 Nordic Tug 42’ Central Listing Heading West to Anacortes

We are very excited about new Nordic Tugs that have been centrally listed with our firm. One that stands out is “Toucan,” a 2006 42’ Nordic Tug in exceptionally nice condition. She spent a bit of time in Fort Lauderdale and then headed out by truck to Anacortes. She should arrive in Washington in mid to late August. If you’re looking for a Nordic Tug in this size range, I can tell you that you can’t go wrong with “Toucan.” She’s been kept in exceptional condition by her owner.

We’ve had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of SENTOA

Recently, we had the pleasure to speak with Commodore Bil Keltner and Vice Commodore Chip Worster of SENTOA, the Southeast Nordic Tug Owners’ Association. Both Bill and Chip are very knowledgeable and great people to speak with. We are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship with the organization. We believe that this is one of the fundamental things that separate Nordic Tug owners from other, the camaraderie and cooperation among owners.

Many SENTOA and other Nordic Tug owners, as well as a few Nordic fans, have called, welcomed and congratulated us on becoming the Southeastern Region’s Nordic Tug dealer. It’s been great and we feel like we’re being welcomed into a long standing community. Owners in the Southeastern region of the United States have not had a Dealer/Partner in the area for some time. We are going to do everything possible to earn their trust and confidence in all areas concerning boating.

Our First Dealers’ Meeting

We attended our first dealer’s meeting in Burlington, Washington on May 8 through 9. We picked up a lot of information that we hope we can share with our clients and met all of the Executives and staff at Nordic Tugs as well as all of the United States Dealers. I think we made some wonderful friends in the process and we’re looking forward to working with everyone. Jim Wilkey, our Brand Manager, said, “It’s a special group of people, very proud of what they have created and committed to manufacture in the United States with top quality at a fair price.”

Inquiries picking up!

Since becoming the Authorized Dealer for the Southeast, we’ve seen a dramatic explosion of inquiries. Anyone who visited the new NT34 we had at this year’s Palm Beach Boat Show knows that the boat was three deep with clients every minute the show was opened. Jim Wilkey said, “I was blown away by the commitment of clients to the Nordic Tugs Brand. I barely had a chance to stop for lunch during the entire show. I’m extremely optimistic!”

We’re Looking to Help, If You Want to Sell Your Boat

We think that over 40 years of experience in the yacht brokerage business and our new relationship with Nordic Tugs makes us uniquely qualified to help you sell your Nordic Tug in today’s marketplace. Please give Jim Wilkey a call at (954) 650-0927 if you have any interest in placing your boat on the market.

Nordic Tug Loyalty Discount

Also, if you own or have ever owned a Nordic Tug, the plant is offering up to a $20,000 credit on the purchase of a new Nordic Tug. This offer is for a limited time, so current or past Nordic Tugs owners should try to take advantage of the program sooner rather than later. The amount will differ depending on the model purchased. The discount will by $5,000 on the NT 26, $10,000 on the NT 34, $15,000 on the NT 39 and $20,000 on the NT 42 or larger models. Authorized U. S. dealers have offered to match the credit dollar for dollar, which doubles it for each model and raises the maximum credit to $40,000.

Our Man in Europe

Derek Jarman has been our man in Europe since joining up with Luke Brown Yachts and handling things out of his Southampton, U. K. office since the early 1990’s. Derek has indicated that he is very excited about selling Nordic Tugs in Europe and has appointed three people to work with him on the project. Derek is also going to assist in a roll out of our Authorized Dealer network in Europe. He’s established a sub-office in Croatia to handle things in Eastern Europe.
