Andrew Cilla, the firm’s President and sole stock holder since 1978 announced this week that Jason Dunbar will assume the position of Vice President at Luke Brown. In Jason’s new capacity he will assist Andrew in the management of the firm and will also gain an equity position. Jason entered the marine industry in South Florida shortly after his graduation from college. He’s been a broker for Luke Brown Yachts for the past 19 years.

Not only is Jason a Certified Professional Yacht Broker, he is also a former board member for the Marine Industries Association, and the Florida Yacht Brokers Association. He’s been a U.S.C.G captain since 1994. Jason is one of two marine professionals who spearheaded the legislative change in the Florida tax code in March, 2010 to create a sales tax cap of $18,000. This is one of his most significant legislative achievements to date. Jason’s also a member of the American Society of Appraisers and has served as an expert witness and a court appointed appraiser.

Andrew and Jason are looking forward to working together, growing the firm in the years to come. The first quarter of 2014 was the best quarter the firm has had in its 45-year history. With the appointment of Jason Dunbar as the firms Vice President, the firm is now poised for considerable expansion in the coming years.
