Floating cocktail lounges, new VIP experiences and increased accessibility are some of the exciting enhancements planned for the 32nd annual Miami Yacht Show, which returns to its new home in downtown Miami at One Herald Plaza on Biscayne Bay, February 13-17, 2020. After 30 years in Miami Beach, the iconic event relocated to the 60-acre downtown venue in 2019, bringing it closer to its SuperYacht Miami exhibit site.
Superyachts set to make a grand appearance at this year’s show include the U.S. debut of SILVERYACHTS’ ultra-luxurious 85m (278.10 ft) BOLD. VIP owners and large yacht buyers will also find the Island Gardens Deep Harbour on Watson Island, site of Super Yacht Miami, transformed into an exclusive destination.
Premium brands at the show will also include Riviera Yachts, Majesty Yachts and Horizon.
Water taxi service will link the main show with the superyacht site, as well as to the Miami Boat Show on Virginia Key -providing a seamless experience for attendees. An in-water display will showcase more than 400 new and pre-owned vessels from the world’s foremost custom builders at the Miami Yacht Show and SuperYacht Miami, organized and produced by Informa Markets.
The Miami Yacht Show and the concurrent Miami International Boat Show are being co-marketed as “Miami Boating Week,” including a joint marketing and ticketing campaign.
This year, attendees will have the option of water taxi service as well as shuttle bus service between the two events. The two shows bring more than 130,000 boating enthusiasts to the area and showcase some 2,000 luxury boats of all types, making Miami Boating Week the largest marine event in North America, noted Paul Flannery, Executive Director of the International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA), Miami Yacht Show’s partner.
“As far as brokers go, the Miami Yacht Show has a very big international profile. We have representatives from builders around the world,” Flannery added.
Part of the draw is Miami itself, a vibrant international city with world-class attractions and 24-hour entertainment. Moreover, the show’s new venue provides a 67,000 square-foot exhibition space and a significant expansion of upland facilities for boating-accessories exhibits, all in one place.
