Layout and Accommodations

A rare opportunity to own one of the iconic 42 Heritage Classics by Grand Banks. "Shenanigans II" provides all of the proven cruising features that this model offered coupled with the benefits seen only in a handful of these late model boats. The flybridge offers two individual bench seats with fore and aft seating and a stand-alone bench guest seating to starboard. New electronics on bridge including; Furuno Navnet vx2, Simrad NSS7, Furuno RD33 autopilot, Simrad RS35 VHF, Furuno ray dome, and JBL stereo system. Additional Nick Jackson new powered boom winch.  The boat's teak finish has a tremendous shine with its fresh bright work on cap rails, brow accent, name boards and transom.

Once inside the beautiful satin finish teak interior is a typical Grand Banks work of art. "Shenanigans II” teak parquet flooring, upgraded Cantaloupe lighting, Corian counters, Vimar light switches and many other touches that are seen on more current GB models. These features coupled with the inviting interior arrangement provide for the perfect blend of form and function. The main cabin features both port and starboard doors that allow easy entry from the full walk around decks. A lower helm is forward and to starboard and a custom L-shaped galley is opposite to port. The galley has abundant storage, countertop and refrigerator/freezer space. Just aft is a large L-settee with solid teak leaved table as well as an additional settee to port.

The guest stateroom and head are forward and the master stateroom and head are aft affording privacy for all aboard. There is a custom combination washer and dryer in the guest but still plenty of locker and drawer space. The master stateroom is quite large allowing for a split shower / head combination, queen size berth starboard, desk and built in drawer and locker space. The interior is warm throughout with glowing teak joinery and cabinetry, abundant natural light and quality neutral soft and hard goods.

The upgraded 450 Cummins not only provide the boat efficient and versatile cruising but have a footprint that fits very nicely in this space. Generator, battery, and inverter access are all also easy to reach and the area is well lit and exceptionally clean.

Manufacturer Provided Description

Traditional beauty and the most sophisticated of technological amenities are two of the winning attributes that have made the Grand Banks 42 Classic an ongoing hit. Without a doubt, Grand Banks' consistent commitment to evolutionary design has kept this model at the top of the charts in terms of dependability and resale value. This, of course, comes as no surprise to us. One look at the 42 Classic's burnished teak-dominated exterior -- one step aboard its equally golden teak interior-- and the exceptional care with which this yacht is constructed is evident. The built-in comfort and convenience of the Grand Banks 42 Classic adds to its reputation. Owners tout its flexible, custom layouts as a big plus when it comes to choosing between a "singular living" or an "entertaining" lifestyle. For trips both short and long, most find its roomy sleeping, bathing, and galley accommodations a treat. Even the engine room is roomy enough for all the essentials, plus a few "big trip" extras. Anyway you look at it, the 42 Classic is an exceptional craft that holds its value and delivers top performance.
