Express Cruisers For Sale

Express Cruisers offer a sporty look combined with exhilarating performance and accommodations for a party of two to as many as eight. All cruisers are equipped with a galley for preparing of meals, one or more heads with showers, and a large cockpit for outdoor entertaining. They range in size from somewhere around 25 feet up to 60 feet, or larger. Inboard engines and inboard/outboard engines were the most popular propulsion packages in the past. More recently outboards and Volvo Penta pod drives have become quite popular amongst the current Express Cruiser builders. Speed has always been an important component in this segment of the market. It is not uncommon to find an Express Cruiser that can operate at 30 or more knots and some can go as fast as 50 knots.

Typically, Express Cruisers do not have large viewing salons like motor yachts. This affords them a lower center of gravity and a more comfortable ride. Express Cruisers also can be referred to as picnic boat, or a picnic yacht. If equipped with features demanded by a fisherman such as outriggers or a tower they can be referred to as a sportfisherman. Some are traditional in style such as Hinckley, Sabre, Back Cove, East Bay, San Juan and MJM. Others feature a sleeker styling such as Sea Ray, Riva, Carver, Cruiser Inc., Fairline, Azimut and Sunseeker. No one knows the Express Cruiser market better than the brokers at Luke Brown Yachts.
