Carver Yachts For Sale | Luke Brown Yachts
Carver began in the boatbuilding business in the late 1950s with a line of small wood runabouts built in Pulaski, WI. Carver gradually offered larger and larger boats, making the move from wood to fiberglass in the late 1960s and early 1970s. By the mid 1970s the company was well into fiberglass construction with a full line of inboard and sterndrive boats marketed primarily in the Great Lakes market. By the 1980s Carver had grown to be a major builder of affordable family cruisers, sport boats, and motor yachts with a nationwide network of dealers. In 1991, Carver was acquired by Genmar Holdings, Inc. In 2004 Carver started Marquis Yachts, a series of Italian-designed motoryachts built in Pulaski, Wisconsin. In 2009 Carver, as part of the Genmar Corp., declared chapter XI bankruptcy. Now a subsidiary by J&D Acquisitions, Carver Yachts is recognized as a leader in the manufacture of upscale motoryachts and family cruisers.
