Chuck got his feet wet, so to speak, spending summers boating and sailing in Barnegat Bay on the New Jersey shore. The love for the water started when he was eight and has continued over the decades to this day including ownership of an Irwin 10-4, an S29.2C, a Grand Banks 42, a Grand Banks 49 (for fifteen years) and most recently a Selene 53.
His sharp knowledge of the Selenes stems from having owned, lived aboard, and cruised his own Selene 53, Celebrate, for some 14,000 n.m. in 2003-2005 ranging from the Canadian Maritimes to the far Bahamas. Chuck holds a 100 Ton USCG Master's License, and has over 25,000 miles under way.
After a career as a serial entrepreneur in several industries he has worked for the last 11 years as a yacht dealer and yacht broker, having been recruited by Jet Tern Marine to open distribution of the Selene Trawler line. Thus he founded Selene Annapolis Yachts and served the US East coast between 2005 and the current time.
Working with customers, he has built and delivered over 25 new Selenes, and brokered another dozen. All this has required strong relationships with the customer and the factory. It has involved Chuck in some 25 trips to China to attend to the details of yachts under construction. His brokerage experience extends to Krogens and Nordhavns as well.
In 2016, Chuck joined his Selene Annapolis enterprise with Luke Brown Yachts. It has been a happy and productive combination for both parties.
