Sabre Yachts For Sale | Luke Brown Yachts
The Sabre story began in 1970 when the company's founder, Roger Hewson, set out to build a 28-foot sailing yacht in the small town of South Casco, ME. Introduced in 1971 at the Newport Boat Show, the Sabre 28 was a resounding success; during the next fifteen years 588 Sabre 28's were built. With the decline of the sailing industry in the late 1980s, in 1989 Sabre sought to broaden its market and created the first Sabre 36 “Fast Trawler”. The success of their first model led to the introduction of the Sabreline 34 in 1990. Today more than half of Sabre’s production is dedicated to power boats ranging in size from 38' to 52' in length. Sabre’s manufacturing facilities are located in Raymond, ME, 25 miles north of Portland. Sabre Yachts has been producing sail and motor yachts for 40 years, and has built over 4,000 hulls to date.
